i love Elder Bassett 😍

 howdy yall!

this email is coming at you a little late cause today has been crazy busy. I figured id write a short lil email about how this last week has been.

last week we had transfers and I got a new missionary straight from the MTC! his name is Elder Bassett and hes an absolute stud. hes from Preston Idaho and hes a big fan of golfing and Jeeps. this last week has been super challenging trying to figure out how to train a new missionary but also its been a lot of fun. this week we were trying to come up with a new idea for finding. we were driving past the baseball fields when Elder Basset had the great idea to go talk to people there. we ended up talking to a ton of people, none of them were intrested, but it was a nice change of pace.

this isn't my weekly email, but here's this for you guys tuesday for breakfast I had some yogurt, i put toast in the toaster but I forgot to eat it. so now its still there. this morning we had to postpone personal study so we could go help this dude named Johnny. Johnny has no legs and he stockpiles a bunch of toys so he can give them out to kids. the problem is that none of them were sorted. they were all mixed in with eachother. so we went through them all and sorted them by gender and age group and all that fancy stuff. after that we went to the food bank to go help out again. we had a lot of people there so we pretty much just stood around in the cold for two hours. lunch was subway. I figured we should probably start using our subway giftcards... we have a grand total of 100 bucks in subway gift cards. after lunch we drove to Mayo to go say hi to a bunch of referals. there was this one guy who filled out a request for us to come by (he was also legless... if I had a nickel...

Really long, really great talk about missionaries-from Mom

Hey, I found this really great talk about missionaries. It is really long, but so good. Definitely something to contemplate. I don't know yet if you are being transferred or not, but I know someday you will. I know you will need to make decisions about what kind of missionary you want to be with your next companion, in your next area, for the rest of your mission. I think this talk was really great at talking about different types of missionaries and turning your heart and mind over to God so He can make you into the man He wants you to be. Here are a few of my favorite quotes from this talk. I hope you really study it and pray about it and how it can help you in the rest of your mission, but most importantly how God can help you become the man you want to be and He wants you to be for the rest of your life and through eternity. tuesday for breakfast I had a smoothie, and during personal study we got a referral from soical media and it actually turned out super promising. it was from this dude named David. we called him and ended up scheduling a church tour later today. at the food bank today it was crazy once again. pretty much the food bank is always like VP on a friday night. well except its tuesday afternoon, and all your coworkers are super old and ask you to lift all the heavy things. that last part was good though. I need the workout and its hard to get gains without weights. I stole some bagels from the food bank then we were outta there at 2. for lunch we found some waffle mix so we cooked those up. sooo good after that we had the church tour, and we ran around mayo visiting people. for dinner sis Newman made us PBJs, and larkin and I reenacted the scene from zootopia where theyre in the dmv and theres all the sloths, so that was pretty funny. after we got home I played the piano(with my new metrinom...
